Balance is the tenth studio album by American rock band Van Halen, released on January 24, 1995, by Warner Bros. Records. It marks the last of the band's four studio albums to feature Sammy Hagar as lead vocalist and the final album to include bassist Michael Anthony on every track. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was certified triple platinum in the United States for sales exceeding three million copies. The opening track, "The Seventh Seal," also received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance.
