Chromakopia (stylized in all caps) is the eighth studio album by American rapper Tyler, the Creator, released on October 28, 2024, through Columbia Records. The project follows his 2021 album Call Me If You Get Lost and was entirely written, produced, and arranged by Tyler himself.
The record includes guest contributions from Daniel Caesar, Doechii, GloRilla, LaToiya Williams, Lil Wayne, Lola Young, Santigold, Schoolboy Q, Sexyy Red, and Teezo Touchdown, with physical editions also featuring Playboi Carti.
Musically, Chromakopia fuses elements of hip-hop, jazz, and soul, echoing the sonic palettes of Tyler’s earlier works Flower Boy (2017) and Igor (2019). Thematically, the album unfolds as a diary narrated by Tyler’s mother, Bonita Smith, stitching together reflections from different periods of Tyler’s life. Critics widely praised the album for its lyricism, production, and narrative cohesion—while also embracing its chaotic, experimental edge as part of its charm.
The release was supported by the singles “Noid,” “Sticky,” and “Like Him,” alongside promotional tracks “St. Chroma” and “Thought I Was Dead.” Chromakopia achieved major commercial success, debuting at number one in nine countries. In the United States, it entered the Billboard 200 at number one, marking Tyler’s third chart-topping album. Several songs, including “Noid” and “St. Chroma,” also appeared on the Billboard Hot 100. To promote the album, Tyler launched the Chromakopia: The World Tour in 2025.
