The latest album from New Zealand alt-pop icon Lorde represents a reflection. A sincere documentation of the singer's growing understanding of her innocence, spirituality, elegance, gender and sexuality.

On backorder. Ships in 1-2 weeks if available from supplier. Further details available in Policy Terms below.

Co-produced by Lorde and indie pop songwriter and record producer extraordinaire Jim E-Stack, known for his work with Bon Iver, Dominic Fike and Joji. Virgin also features production from a slew of indie super producers, including Blood Orange, Dan Nigro, Buddy Ross (known for his work on Blonde) and Fabiana Palladino (daughter of renowned bass player Pino Palladino).

Lorde's third album, Solar Power, features production solidly grounded in indie-folk and psychedelic pop. The majority of the album's songs feature acoustic guitar arrangements, a notable departure from the electronic sound that Lorde established in the early 2010s. Lorde stated that she found the reception to her third album to be "confounding" and "really painful". In response to the album's divisive reception, Lorde wanted to create an album of pop bangers and that's what Virgin promises to be and more. Pop with sophistication and grit, Lorde describes the album's colour as clear, "clear like bathwater, windows, ice, spit. Full transparency".

PLEASE NOTE: That this is a pre-order releasing on 05/27/2025.
