About the album

Foreigner made Head Games in 1979 with producer Roy Thomas Baker, working alongside Mick Jones and Ian McDonald. It was Rick Wills' first album on bass and the last for founders McDonald and Al Greenwood; Jones even took the lead vocal on "The Modern Day".

The singles did the heavy lifting on radio: "Dirty White Boy" climbed to No. 12, the title track to No. 14 and "Women" to No. 41 on the Hot 100. Deeper in, "Seventeen" and "Rev on the Red Line" show how hard the band could rock between the hits.

"A hidden gem."
Gary Graff, Billboard, on "Seventeen"
