About the EP

In 2001 the band traded the name Pezz for Billy Talent and put out these four songs themselves. They recorded with producer Justin Koop at The Music Gym in Burlington, Ontario, at a hard moment: school and jobs were pulling them apart, and drummer Aaron Solowoniuk had just learned he had multiple sclerosis.

The songs held on. Early versions of material that would shape their 2003 debut, they followed the band to Atlantic, where the title track's video, shot at the old Whitby Psychiatric Hospital, won a MuchMusic Video Award.

"It represented the rebirth of our band."
Jon Gallant, Billy Talent bassist
