They were indeed still boys when Licensed To Ill became the first hip-hop record in history to hit No. 1 and, yes, there were far more ambitious and groundbreaking things to come as they matured, but the Beastie Boys 1986 debut is still a raucous good time and a landmark album in the evolution of the genre thanks to its Rick Rubin-produced mix of rap and hard rock. Juvenile, true, but it didn't really pretend to be anything but.
