Apparently, sometimes lightning does strike twice in the same spot. After making history with 2011's 21 as the first artist to have the best-selling album around the world for two consecutive years since Michael Jackson and Thriller back in the early '80s, Adele Adkins managed to do it again in 2015 and 2016 with the follow-up record, 25 - mostly through selling people actual physical product rather than digital content at a time when people had supposedly stopped buying physical product. It would appear, then, that Adele's popularity is in no danger of waning anytime soon and, frankly, if she keeps cranking out high-quality chart fodder like the Celine Dion-esque "Hello" and the groovy Max Martin/Shellback co-write "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" she probably deserves that popularity.
