Released in the shadow of a looming prison sentence, 2Pac's third album, Me Against the World, nevertheless stands as one of the most acclaimed hip-hop records of the 1990s. It was also one of the most successful, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart and selling two million copies in the U.S. alone. Sadly, Tupac Amaru Shakur would only manage one more album, 1996's All Eyez on Me, before his untimely death later that year.
