Big Wave is the soundtrack album for the 1984 motion picture of the same name, produced and recorded by Japanese singer-songwriter Tatsuro Yamashita. Released in June 1984, the album reached No. 2 on the Oricon Albums Chart and remained on the chart for 19 weeks.

The album draws heavily from the songwriting and production style of Brian Wilson, particularly his work with the Beach Boys. Its first half features original compositions by Yamashita, with English lyrics written by Alan O'Day, while the second half primarily consists of covers of Beach Boys songs.

With its bright harmonies, surf-rock influences, and relaxed summer atmosphere, Big Wave captures Yamashita’s fascination with American West Coast pop while putting his own polished production style at the forefront.
