This is the first vinyl of Blond, sold for 24 hours on Black Friday, 25 November 2016, through boysdontcry.co. The next vinyl arrived with the 2022 reissue on Blonded. Pitchfork named it the best album of the 2010s.
Blonde came out on 20 August 2016, the day after the visual album Endless, and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Frank produced it with help from James Blake, Jon Brion, Pharrell Williams and Rostam Batmanglij.
André 3000, Beyoncé, Kim Burrell and Yung Lean all turn up on the LP. Its first title was Boys Don't Cry, the name of the magazine he sold at his pop-up shops with a CD of the album inside.
