Formed in 1975 by bassist, singer, and songwriter Ian Fraser Kilmister (Lemmy), Motörhead has always had him as the sole constant member. While often seen as a precursor to the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Lemmy has always referred to their music as just "rock and roll."
