Beck's Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime, eight rarities and covers, on a limited 12-inch red vinyl EP from Capitol.
A limited red vinyl 12-inch gathering eight rarities, covers and deep cuts for the first time, including never-before-heard takes on "Your Cheatin' Heart" and "True Love Will Find You in the End." The title track is his much-loved cover from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Beck has spent three decades leaving brilliant odds and ends scattered across soundtracks and tribute albums, and somebody finally went round with a broom. Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime collects eight of them, named for his gorgeous, slowed-down cover of the Korgis song from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, a track that has probably soundtracked more quiet breakups than anything on Sea Change. It went up digitally first, then landed on red vinyl on February 13, 2026, timed (of course) for Valentine's Day.
The rest is a lovely grab bag: "Ramona" from the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World soundtrack, his 2012 take on Caetano Veloso's "Michelangelo Antonioni," a "Can't Help Falling in Love" for the Elvis fans, "I Only Have Eyes for You" by way of the Flamingos, plus never-before-heard recordings of Hank Williams's "Your Cheatin' Heart" and Daniel Johnston's "True Love Will Find You in the End." It's Beck in crooner mode, tender and a little bit lonesome, and it makes a perfect late-night companion to Morning Phase. Eight songs, two sides, no filler, and a small record that turns out to be a very sweet one.
On Capitol, first out in 2026.
