Having established himself as a pop force to be reckoned with on 1983's Cuts Like A Knife, Bryan Adams went supernova a mere year later on Reckless, which is about as perfect as mainstream rock records get. It went No. 1 in numerous countries, became the first Canadian album to sell a million copies in Canada - which, at the time, meant roughly one in 25 Canadians owned Reckless - and spawned six monster hit singles: "Run To You," "Somebody," "Heaven," "Summer Of '69," "One Night Love Affair" and "It's Only Love," where Adams's signature rasp duelled with that of Tina Turner. Simply put: Reckless is a monster.
