About the album

There's a particular kind of album you make once the whole world already knows your name, and Gracie Abrams, rather than playing it safe, went and called hers Daughter From Hell. Written and produced with her longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner of The National, it's her third LP and the follow-up to The Secret of Us, and it runs on the push and pull of being in your twenties, big feelings and small-hours second-guessing set to piano, guitar and that close, confiding voice.

It arrived in July 2026 and went straight to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, her first time at the top there, and debuted at No. 1 here in Canada as well, along with the UK, Ireland, Australia, France and Germany. "Hit the Wall" opens the record, "Look at My Life" and "Good Reason" both cracked the Canadian Hot 100 the week it came out, and Marcus Mumford turns up on "What If It's Right?" near the end. If The Secret of Us was the breakout, this is the one that makes her case for the long haul, and honestly it sounds lovely spread over four sides of wax, the way a record this personal ought to be heard.

On Interscope, first out in 2026.
