Released in 1966, The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators is the debut album by the American band and among the earliest releases to feature the word "psychedelic" in its title. Blending Roky Erickson's raw vocals with Tommy Hall's distinctive electric jug, it produced the band's signature hit, "You're Gonna Miss Me," and helped define the emerging psychedelic rock sound.
